Literature Text

Dozens of feet rushing in time’s cost
People trying to catch a breath
as though there’s a time bomb strapped to their chest!
They work, work and never rest.

But right there, behind one mute door,
time lost to space. There was no race,
Just slow and steady. Peace, tranquility.
Under artificial breeze, he lays….not to exist but to cease….

He never blinks, never thinks, he just sinks
In his bag of beans, lost in the world of dreams.
What he sees are fantasies. Where he is, he’s at ease…
Oh please! When he’s back to earth, he’s of no worth.
There is no need for preparation when there is no aspiration!

What are deadlines to those who don’t fear?
What are hopes for those who don’t care?
What is satisfaction to those without passion?
What is the value of time to those without any goal?

Time is something one cannot stall…
Iron will rust and an apple will rot.
The lazy will become lazier and then turn into a Sloth.
I hate art blocks!! arghhh! i left this to rot cuz i wasn't satisfied with the beginning and couldn't pen the ending! i couldn't think..! couldn't write!! (i guess that's what a block feels like..felt like teh end of me!! :iconscaredplz:) anyway, finally, i finished it!! :iconyesvictoryplz: YAY! 5 sins down, two more to go!!

NOTE: I didn't intend it to rhyme at all places. this is just a new style i tried. i hope to hear your opinion on it. and this is my version of the sin-Sloth. I hope my take on sloth did justice to the sin. please tell me what you think!

Well, you say that you had really bad writer's block, but it all flowed together quite nicely, as though it just scribbled off the pen like a stream of ink!:aww:
I like how you didn't just talk about the sin 'sloth', but also how it can suck you in unbeknownst to yourself. It isn't premeditated nor is it a sudden jolt of negative influence put into a near unforgivable act. But rather, it just kinda happens, without you even intending to slip into the lazy, depressed daze, for a minimization of what you expressed. Shows that even if you are not victim to these feelings regularly, you understand them well, giving you empathy.
